Exlar’s actuator combine the advantage of the Exlar’s roller screw technology and the T-LAM segmented technology to create the revolution of the linear actuator。Exlar’s special design integrates the stator with the roller screws, which are fixed evenly around the main screw in a planetary fashion and precisely machined on the inside
surface of the actuator’s hollow armature. Linear motion is produced in synchronization with the armature rotation. Because this roller screw mechanism has an inherently larger cumulative contact surface, these motors have a much longer working life, and can handle heavier loads at higher speeds than is possible from a similarly sized unit built in around a ball screw system.
Exlar’s T-LAM segmented lamination stator technology delivers higher continuous motor torque than is available in traditionally wound motors. T-LAM technology consists of stator segments, each containing individual phase wiring for maximum motor performance meantime lower the level of the heat generation of the segmented stator. The elimination of the end turns of the stator and use of the thermally conductive potting removes the parts most susceptible for failure in a traditional stator.
The combination of the high precision components guarantees the high efficiency of the actuator. The mechanical time of the Exlar actuator is around 10ms, which is the leading level in the same industry. The positioning precision of the single nut roller screw can reach 0.05mm, with repetitive precision 0.01mm, while that of the double nut roller screw can reach 0.1um.The lifetime of the Exlar’s screw is 5-15 times that of the ball screw actuator in the same diameter.
Exlar’s patented GSX Series of linear actuators integrate a planetary roller screw into a brushless servo motor resulting in an extremely compact, high performance linear actuator offering up to 15 times the travel life of a comparably sized ball screw. The completely sealed package offers all the flexibility of servo motion control and can be configured to nearly any servo drive. Servo actuation provides an excellent substitute for hydraulics, pneumatics or ball screws with better performance, longer life and lower maintenance. UL and CSA recognized.

Three Technologies -- One Actuator Tritex actuators represent an all-electric actuator solution for moving and/or positioning mechanical devices in a large variety of industrial or military grade applications. Exlar I Series Actuators present a new range of alternatives for linear motion solutions. The I Seires actuators offer all of the benefits of Exlar's planetary roller screw technology, along with extreme flexibility in actuator mounting style, and the type of motor used to drive the actuator.
IX Series offers the same load-carrying capacity as the IM but offers up to 15 times the life of an equivalent ball screw.
The FT Series actuators use a planetary roller screw mounted inside a telescoping tube mechanism. The follower is attached to the moveable force tube, which then extends and retracts as the screw rotates. An external motor, supplied by Exlar or the customer provides the rotational force. FT Series actuators are ideal for applications requiring a long stroke and heavy load capacity .
